CSEET – Foundation level

The Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) is an entry-level examination for the Company Secretary (CS) course, introduced by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). It serves as a foundation for aspiring Company Secretaries, assessing their aptitude and knowledge in various subjects essential for a career in corporate governance and compliance.

The CSEET is designed for students who wish to enrol in the Executive Program of the CS course. It comprises the following key components:

Eligibility

Candidates must have completed their 10+2 examinations in any stream (Arts, Science, or Commerce) or hold a graduation degree.

Subjects

The CS Foundation Course covers essential subjects, including:

• Business Environment and Law
• Business Management, Ethics, and Communication
• Business Economics
• Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing

Examination Format

The CSEET is conducted in an online format and includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs) along with descriptive questions. Candidates are evaluated on their understanding and application of the subjects covered.

Examination Schedule

The CSEET is held four times a year – January, May, July, and November, providing ample opportunities for candidates to take the test and secure admission to the Executive Program.
